Where My Soul is Kept

$35.00

An Art book by the BElite Collective that examines Hurricane Katrina in light of the 20th anniversary. Here, we explore themes of home and introspection through literature, testimonials, and artistic interpretation of the theme…”Where is Home?”

About the BElite Collective:

BElite is an artists collective of Eternal Seeds, made up of multidisciplinary New Orleans artists ages 18-24, dedicated to creating safe spaces, fostering local talent, and beautifying our community through art forms like murals, films, and more. BElite was founded in 2019 by students of the Eternal Seeds Summer Session Arts Intensive who wanted to continue creating together. Their work aims to disrupt the negative narratives about Black youth, preserve New Orleans Culture, while building a legacy of empowerment and creative self-determination.

This art book is the result of a 7 week fellowship where 15 BElite members co-created works to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
