A Moment To Breathe Exhibition Opening
“A Moment to Breathe” creates a bubble for participants to take a moment of mental rest while enjoying the works of local abstract artists.
As we know, art can aid in building space. Art can build a safe space to express and serves as a “room” to hold discussions around difficulties that we face as a collective. A main goal of the Collective Wealth is for artists to share their values and opinions in efforts to create a needed shift in the function of life as we know it. As a society, we are heavily engaged in a connected lifestyle. We stay connected through things such as work, school, social engagements, and social media. This oftentimes does not leave room for one to step back and have a moment of rest and meditation. “A Moment to Breathe” intends to create a bubble for participants to take this moment of mental rest while enjoying the works of four, local abstract artists. After viewing the exhibition, viewers would be asked to think of ways to incorporate pockets of mental rest for themselves and their communities through art-making.
Community Art Making hosted by The Collective Wealth
The Collective Wealth is hosting a community artmaking workshop with Whole Village Art Therapy. The Collective Wealth is opening its show "A Moment To Breathe" in April, focusing its show theme on mental health. To expose the community to mental health resources, Whole Village will lead an art making workshop to teach the community about art as a healing modality.

Rebel Girls and Radical Women: Mural Unveiling / Artist Roundtable
Rebel Girls and Radical Women is a celebration of the impact of girls and women and their power to shape the world. At the core of this exhibition is the recognition that the power of girls and women is not limited to a single generation or era. We have always been essential agents of change, and we choose to embrace the role of our ancestors, who’s love shapes our understanding of this legacy. It is no secret that countless girls and women have often been denied the opportunity to shape their own destinies. We choose to celebrate those who have fought to claim their power and control their own lives as well as honor those who were not able to do so.
For centuries, it has most often been the Rebel Girls and Radical Women at the forefront of creating, building, and sustaining, strong and resilient communities that honor the power and value of every individual. Through this work we wish to celebrate their leadership and wisdom.
We invite you to explore our exhibition and immerse yourself in the Power and Beauty of all the Radical girls and Rebel women who laid the framework for us today. Together, we hope to honor the legacy of our ancestors, embrace the power of women today, and contribute to a purposeful foundation for generations to come.

Rebel Girls and Radical Women: A wellness workshop
Join us for a gathering of grounding, reflection, and creativity as we honor the Rebel Girls and Radical Women of our world.
This workshop is designed to promote relaxation, mindfulness, and creativity.
All participants will be guided through a series of poses and breathing exercises that will help you release tension, increase flexibility, and improve your overall sense of well-being. We are asking folks to bring a yoga mat, but if you do not have one, we will have a few on hand to share on a first come first served basis.
In conjunction with the yoga session, we'll be guided through a sound bowl meditation. You'll be invited to lie down or sit comfortably while the sound bowls are played. The soothing vibrations will help you to relax even further, and to enter a state of deep relaxation and meditation.
Following our yoga and meditation, we'll indulge in a tie dye activity led by the women of StudioBE. Everyone will be given all the materials needed to create a unique and beautiful tie-dye item, such as a t-shirt or tote bag. All are welcome to bring their own item they would like to tie-dye as well.
This experience is open to girls, women, and non-binary folks of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're extremely experienced or a complete beginner, you'll find something to enjoy and benefit from in this workshop. All young people who are under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
Also, later this same evening, we'll be unveiling a special collaborative mural between the young artists of the BElite Youth Collective and the women of the StudioBE Team. We invite you to join us from 6pm-8pm to see the new piece, hear from the artists, and enjoy a roundtable dicussion from some Rebel Girls and Radical Women we admire from our community.
