Overview

Join us for the New Orleans premiere of Whistle, a coming-of-age, horror short film directed by Astrid Sims.

A clairvoyant teen’s unsettling encounter with a strange man in the woods turns terrifying after her brother and his friends don’t heed her warning.

Rooted in childhood memories, old family stories, and the things we can't always explain, Whistle explores siblinghood, spirituality, trusting in your own power. Join us for a conversation about bringing this story to life, the journey of emerging Black artists, and the importance of telling our own stories
