THE NEW ORLEANS BRANCH OF THE BLACK PANTHER PARTY
ALUMNI IS CELEBRATING THE 56 TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE
NATIONAL ORGANIZATION AT STUDIO BE IN NEW ORLEANS
On October 15th, 2022, the alumni are cordially inviting residents from across the city to view a
documentary entitled, “The Vanguard of the Revolution”, immediately followed by a roundtable
a discussion lead by the organization.
The New Orleans Branch of the Black Panther Party Alumni has focused our attention on the abolition of crime and violence in the city. To achieve this task, it is prudent that we rebuild trust within our communities. In order to do this, the Alumni seeks to further educate inner city residents, religious sanctions, and political organizations on the plight of the original Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. The guest moderators are Dr. Clyde Robertson, Professor of African and African-American studies at Southern University of New Orleans and Attorney Angela Bell, Civil Rights Law Professor and author at Southern University of New Orleans Baton Rouge campus. The event is from 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and there will be refreshments available.
